Eh..............Hi

Post by eoin27 »

Well I didn't go to New York in the end, after going to all the trouble of getting visa. Ended up realising that the job situation over there isn't so hot and the exchange rate sucked.

So I stayed in Dublin and am now doing an internship because there are no jobs. The economy here is in serious trouble. Whats the UK perspective on the Irish economy I wonder??

Well as you may recall, I sold my beloved 406. I regret that every day. I bought a 2001 Xsara 1.4 and absolutely hated it. Then i bought a 307 1.4 for a song and fixed it up and now it drives well. Sold the Xsara a few days ago. What a truly bad car. The 307 is nice but its not a 406 and I miss the torque.

So anyway, I just thought I'd say hello and I'm around now to help with my massive knowledge about 406s.

Well, hello again Eoin. 8)

Nice to have you back, but sorry NY didn't work out.

(I flunked my masters if it's any consollation).

UK economy? Depends who you ask - some businesses are fairly upbeat, thinking the new year will be better.
You can't help noticing all the pre-Christmas sales, though....
2002 HDi 2.2 Exec Estate, (2008-12) (wonderful)
2003 HDi 2.2 6-speed Exec Estate (2012-19) (also a gem)
2009 Citroen C5 2.0 HDi VTR+ Estate (godawful heap)
2008 BMW E91 330i touring (great fun - murdered by a reversing SUV)
2007 BMW E91 325i touring (slower smoother quieter)

Hello matey!, oh well, at least you tried. I think maybe you made the right choice. My feelings are that our economy is a whole lot worse than they'd have you believe :|

Hiya Eoin.

Not sure how anyones economy is at the moment - it seems no-ones able to tell us the truth.

You not tempted to get another 406 then??

Welcome back!

The economy here is doing alright - Come to Aussssssssieland for exchange, though Peugeots are fairly expensive here! :cheesy:

Sucks about NY - I have mates at the moment who went to Canada and have had no problem finding unskilled work?

Ya I hear canada is doing well. Theres bucket loads of Irish going to the land of oz but I think if im going anywhere it will be Toronto cos I was there before and it rocks! I think about getting another 406 every time I see one and every time i drive. Although people keep saying that my 307 is way nicer than the 406, I know its not. I drive a 130 mile each way trip from home to dublin and everytime i was doing it in the 406, i felt relaxed after. In the 307, i feel agitated. Its not got any power and the seats are too hard.
