O/S/R Door Wont Open

Talk about the 406's electrical system, what wires do what, how to add extra functionality, etc.

O/S/R Door Wont Open

Post by jcrowe »

Hi, I have a 2003 406 2.0 Rapier Hdi Estate, My Drivers Side Rear Door wont open on the internal or external handle but the lock clicks with the central locking and the locking button also moves as it should. What could be wrong and can it be fixed easily and quickly. Please help. :frown:

For the last few frozen mornings only the driver's door on my estate would open, the rest being frozen shut. Sorry if barking up the wrong tree.
406 estate, 2.1TD, I fixed her, then part exchanged her for a Mercedes E300TD Avantgarde Estate.
Hmmmm, straight 6 goodness!

I've seen this before but when I searched I couldn't find any solutions, just questions. Rapid locking/unlocking might help but if it doesn't then you'll have to take the door card off and investigate. I had this on a car once, I kicked the hell out of it 'til it opened. I was breaking it anyway so it didn't matter.
