Hi,
Over the last few days of owning this car a petrol 2.0 sri turbo, i have noticed the turbo only seems to work now and again, and judders sometimes, it picks up when it comes in and can feel the difference, but 75% of the time there is nothing, is there anyway of servicing it yourself???
And whats involved ??
Thanks, Mark.

Turbo Problem
Once again I have a project... The wife says if I dont stop spending money on my cars she's off... Shame i'll miss her....
Re: Turbo Problem
My guesses in order of likelihood for an intermittent problem:
1. The wastegate solenoid - little valve on the o/s near the cambelt cover
2. Sticking wastegate. You can get under the car and try to move the actuator arm
3. Sticking dump valve. Take it off and push the valve open - see how it feels

<steve_earwig> I think this forum is more about keeping our cars going with minimal outlay than giving our cars more reason to go bang

Re: Turbo Problem
Round thing on top between a large vertical pipe and a large horizontal pipe with 2x 1" diameter (roughly) bits of rubber hose going to it and a much smaller hose going into the centre of the endlordmpl wrote:Where about is the dump valve????
