p reg. 406 2.1 td non start

hi my 406 2.1 executive wouldn't start this morning! plenty life in newish battery car wouldn't crank just an alarm buzzer immobolised? owned car for 6 years key pad has been disconected since before i purchased it! never done this before! car has 200 k miles on it bought it with 70 k miles never had a hiccup HELP many thanx andy

Do you have the immobiliser code? It may be scribbled in the handbook or service history book...

Check that the battery terminals are tight.
That's had me before with similar symptoms.
