Given the global warming weather we are experiencing at the moment and the
fact that my front tyres have reached the stage where they need replacing ,
(like driving on ice with slicks ) i decided to to replace them with a pair of cheapo's
that have actually got tread till this weather has passed. The tyre man said my
tyres have worn on the inside edge as if they are towing out , i know one drop link
defo needs replacing could this cause the tyre's to wear the way they have ???

Re: suspension/tyre question ...
Nope, toeing out is due to the tracking. The droplinks are to do with the anti-roll bar, etc and not with the physical position of the tyres. Get the tyres on and get the tracking reset.

Get the track rod end replaced before they do the tracking otherwise you'll just have to redo the tracking straight away again as it'll be out.
The drop link is totally seperate, but as you'll be in the same area when replacing the track rod end, I'd do the drop link at the same time. Then take it for tyres and the tyre places are usually the ones with the tracking equipment so get them to set it there. May be worth getting them to check the alignment of the rear wheels too as these are adjustable for toe-in and toe-out aswell. Keep an eye on them when they set it to make sure they get it spot on.
