Well I got up this morning and being abit bored and my GF not comming around till 3 this 'saft I decided to debadge my car, Bernard.
So got some fishing line and used it to saw through the sticky pad holding on the badge which means I was left with a black sticky pad ont he paint...

(Just removed the 406 in that photo)
I then dabbed some white spirit onto it and left it to soak in for 5 mins and then rubbing my fingers over the pad so it came off...

Then did the otherside and job done...

I noticed the paint was very swirled and rather dull, so got out the PC and hit it with Danse Swirl Aboloisher 3 with a Megs polishing pad, spread at low RPM's, cut with high RPM's and pressure and slowly went down through the speeds and removed the pressure...

Then did the same with Danase Swirl Abolisher 2 on a Megs finishing pad...

Then swirl abolisher 1 on a Lake Country finishing pad...
This left a very nice finish with abit more life in it...
While I was using Swirl Abolisher 3 I hit the Peugeot badge as it was very faded and oxidised... this is what it did to my pad...
I then decided on this combo for finishing it off...
Duragloss 652 Paint cleaner, Duragloss 601 Polish Bonding Agent, Two coats of Duragloss 111 Clear coat Polish followed by Raceglaze 55...
Then my Uncle Steve turned up asking for sticky pads to put hes new plates on

I can have this car in a year or two's time when he's finished with it
I was slightly worried as he sent me this photo in an Email yesterday titled "It's your turn to clean it"

:doublesho
Anyway...
Glass cleaned using this...

Now my glass has Clarlack Twins on the glass and I find this probduct on it's own dosen't do much, but when you use it to 'top up' the carlack it's pretty amazing... I don't understand how that works but there you are.
Then the trim done with this...
And soem afters I guess...
Some nice flake
It's not perfect by any means, still allot of RDS but compared to the rest of the car it's a massive improvment and if it all turns out like this I'l be happy

So pleanty of polishing for me come New Year
