Nice one, but I would favour... 406 owners club members who sold their cars but still hang around for the crack .co.uk

Or, 406 ocmwstcbshafrtc . co.uk for short

Might need some longer stickers Dai.

Stuck with the pug for another week :D My passat has a hifi upgrade Dynaudio with amazing sound well at least 8 the speakers that is   I had noticed that there was no sound coming from the rear doors. After further investigation from the dealer the amp has blown 2 of the channels possible cause bottle of water leaking on passengers seat dripping on the amp.

Also you have to buy this amp through VW. as its a vw dynaudio amp. It has cost the dealer a £1000     Was due in today. VW are expecting delivery next Tuesday from Germany.

On count down now

Hahaha my Golf's got the 8 speaker DSP amp upgrade too - probably the older version of what you've got. It sounds HORRIFICALLY bad! Turns out to see where I stand as to fitting the JVC head I've got on its way to me, I need to remove the glovebox.

If the amp was a dealer-fit option, I just need to unplug the amp harness from behind the glovebox and bring the ISO connectors round to the head unit slot

But if the amp was factory-fit, I need to cut the harness behind the glovebox, wire in my own ISO connectors, cut the wiring to the amp and wire in a set of crossovers

BUT to get behind the glovebox, it's not just a matter of removing a pair of hinges like on 406s... oh no... 7 torx screws. But one of them appears to involve removing the rear ashtray, rear drinks holder, armrest and the entire centre console  Makes you appreciate how easy it is to maintain pugs

After an hour of trying, I've STILL not managed to change one of my front sidelight bulbs
<steve_earwig> I think this forum is more about keeping our cars going with minimal outlay than giving our cars more reason to go bang

The thing about the 406's is that they are old enough to be simple to work on, but new enough to have modern features like airbags, climate, abs etc!

I still want a SV Leavvers and D9 doorcards though! :cheesy:
