Door Swicthes?

Does anyone know how easy the door switches are on the D8's to swap around?
My drivers side one has died completely so was going to swap it round for one in the back until I get to a scrappy but wondering how they come off?

Which switches? Do you mean the window controls or courtesy light etc?

Yeh the ones in the door shuts

Did it in the end, lots of cuts and bruises all over my hands trying to work out how they come out. For those who dont know...

Remove the rubber grommet around them.
You'll see 3 'groves' in the switch.
Rotate the switch until the groves on the switch match the groves on the body.
Stick small screw drivers in the groves which undoes the clips behind the switch.
Give the switch a gfood tug and out it comes

I have a slightly different question on the same theme,when i open any door apart from the drivers door the curtesy light and centre light come on as they should but for some reason not when i open the drivers door. I have looked for a contact on the door shut but there appears not to be one.Anyone enlighten me or am i hoping for an easy fix?

Same problem as me. The door switch has probably gone. Could you get a picture of your door shut? Where the door is bolted onto the car?

I take it yours is a D9?
The D8's had switches in the door shut and the D9's have an integral switch in the door locking mechanism. Might be a broken wire in the door shut or just a sticky mechanism. You can remove the door catch but it's a bit of a pig to do!
