All clean and tidy again! (Well good enough for us anyway! :cheesy: )
Can one of you PM me if it happens again; I'll pick up the notification on my mobile.
I don't know where Matt and Dai are today; they probably saw the spam post count and thought SH!T!

I have no idea. The only pattern is that all the accounts were created last year May-June time. 20 posts per user, about 16 accounts.
I could say I had a wasted afternoon but I enjoy coming here and don't want to see some bastard ruin it!

Thanks for your efforts Teamy, I thought it might take a bit of work.

Agreed, nice job there Teamy. Sorry if it seems like I was jumping up and down there but I wanted to keep the thread on the first page so visitors knew we were aware.

So these are old accounts? I suppose there's more, is there a way to delete inactive accounts after 6 months or something? I'd volunteer for some of the slog but I worry I'd mess something up, delete the whole forum or something really stoopid

Thanks everyone :)
It's pissing me off because there's absolutely nothing I can do to stop it. I can't believe the bastard started again when I was away from the computer for half an hour!
I'm dreading what it will be like in the morning, this needs drastic action.
Please forgive the swearing everyone, it's just that this has been such a huge waste of time!

Can you kill all new posts, lock the whole forum, until you get a chance to fix it permanently? A bit drastic but these idiots could fill the whole forum overnight. I'm not sure if they could kill it that way but...

Mods don't have that sort of access :frown:
I think Nick can trust us enough now to promote us to Admins; if this is going to continue I think it'll be the only way! I can't spend all day on here deleting crap; at least if we can delete inactive accounts and bulk erase posts it will be fairly easy to keep the 'stards away!

Hopefully you can delete accounts without deleting their posts, there's a lot of good stuff by people that haven't been around for a while. Any joy getting hold of Nick?

I'd suggest we ditch all the 0 post accounts which is what these were. Nothing from Nick, or mjb & Dai for that matter. Lucky I was working at home today!
