intermittent electric window fault

intermittent electric window fault
anyone have any suggestions for this , ever now and then when i have drivers window open it will only close in small incriments i have to press and release switch each press it will go up an inch or so and stop untill i release switch and press it again , its not all the time just now and then .

Sounds like it's loosing its memory, possibly a loose connection somewhere...

Can be caused by the window runners getting gunged up with moss or some such, see if you can clean them out and puff some talc in there.

mine does it now and again but I think its the vinyl where the door card meets the window as it is loose and drags the vinyl up and down not got round to gluing it yet
