Whee, passed MOT!

Post by Captain Jack »

As per subject, I passed my MOT today with only a few minor advisories such as faded indicator bulbs and a blowing flexi (to be sorted at a later date). Result!

The highlight of the day, though, was a courtesy car which was a Y reg 206 HDI 2.0. It felt so comfortable inside with its LX spec seats and I even liked the simple but functional interior.

The biggest surprised was the HDI engine. It revved so freely and the power delivery was not all that dissimilar to my, now defunct, diesel Accord. Not sure whether it was a 90 or 110bhp version but I wish my 406 was that nippy. I guess all that weight must really hunker it down. Longing for a remap even more now

Nice cars, those 206's... Don't think there will be much to go wrong with it either...

Good news with the MOT CJ 8)

Know what you mean with the 206 - had a quick go in my old Xsara HDi 90 just before I sold it, felt like a go kart after the 406
2002 HDi 2.2 Exec Estate, (2008-12) (wonderful)
2003 HDi 2.2 6-speed Exec Estate (2012-19) (also a gem)
2009 Citroen C5 2.0 HDi VTR+ Estate (godawful heap)
2008 BMW E91 330i touring (great fun - murdered by a reversing SUV)
2007 BMW E91 325i touring (slower smoother quieter)

Nice one Capt'n the 406 is pretty painless come MOT time although I'm very very surprised it passed with a blowing eggsuace as, I thought, any gas escape before the tail pipe section was an instant no-no :|
Cars in my care:

Well, Alan said it was a "slight leak" - maybe not enough to fail the MOT?
