Apart from a working engine! I lost it in the floods last year, water in the air intake. Spark plugs out, turn engine over, jets of water spat out and I suddenly felt very sick
Still, the insurance company paid out and I got the exec which is a great car! That's how I ended up with the spare mirror bits (which I must post off!)

at least yours turned over mine was siezed solid from driving through a ford that was six inches deep but my insurance paid out and with the GAP cover i got my 407

SWMBO's previous car was bought brand new from a car supermarket who were known to get their cars from Cyprus. I once looked at a 406 Executive in there and the spec was rubbish, yeah it had leather but that was about all! Anyway, the 206 LX that the wife bought came through Noel Deasy Cars, the Peugeot dealer in Cork. We checked the specs very very carefully and found that it was actually slightly better spec than the local dealer's LXs, only little things such as heated mirrors and fog lights, plus it was there in the showroom when the dealer had a 12 week waiting list, and it was £1500 less than the dealer was asking.

Some time later when it needed some work done we found that we didn't have the radio code, so I looked up the number for Noel Deasy cars and gave them a ring. Explained the story and quoted the VIN and the very nice man gave me the code over the phone, no charge, no grumbling . He also proceeded to tell me that they had all the information on the car such as the key numbers, so if we ever had any problems again we should ring him up. I know it's just one experience but every time I've ever set foot in a UK pug dealership I came out feeling annoyed, dissapointed, frustrated or ripped-off. How come this Irish guy a couple of hundred miles away can give me good service when the local pug dealers can't.

Sorry to bring up an old thread, but I've just put the D9 leather doorcards in my D8 exec and was wondering if anyone happened to have any of the details regarding rewiring of the window and mirror switches. The wiring for the courtesy lights were already in my doors and all hooked up so just needed to plug them in, but at the minute I've just got my old window and mirror switches hanging out of the doors due to the difference in plugs.

The old D8 window switches seem to have 5 wires, and the newer D9 switches have 7, so any pointers would be helpful here!

Also the metal mounts for the D9 doorcards are different so do I just need to drill through the pop rivets and remove some from some D9 doors?

I've no idea on the wiring any more as I never wrote anything down. It took me about 1 hour to work out the wiring, armed with a multimeter and both switches. You won't be using all the wires if I remember correctly.

Yep. The holes for D9 rivets already exist in D8 doors.

depends , now it should be pretty costy to get a ferrie , cuz of the season, i am planning a trip over but i want to get all stuff at one same time also i have to fit everything into the car :p or maybe two cars ... or i need to look for a company that ships to belguim weekly and get it sent with oen off their trucks

As the leather interior I picked up today for my D8 didn't come with door cards, I think this is definately on the project list.
Just a case of finding some D9 exec door cards now
