Re: kwp2000+
thing is i havent heard much about it and that seems to be the main site for it.
i found a few forum's mentioning it, some are saying its good , others are saying to get this done by pro's .
so i'm holding off buying one , they are between 100 -150 euro's well in my budget!
just wanted to hear from some peugeot owners who hae used it , even refleashed their car with it.
rumor is i can get my 2.0l hdi from 110 bhp to 140 bhp

That same rumour is the reason i bought my kit too !
I have a couple of spare EDC15C2 ECU's laying around, and one of them is unlocked for free running, so i will play with those on my car and keep my original ecu safe somewhere in case i totally mess up the maps !

Re: kwp2000+
how much do those ecu cost? would be a good idea for me too
Re: kwp2000+
I bought mine on Ebay for about £10 each, then send 1 to an unlocking company to unlock which cost me £30
Re: kwp2000+
these things are quite hard to use, they are made difficult because most of them are Chinese copies and the double talk that passes for a instruction translation that you will find hard to decifer, imo its a better use of your money to get a pro to do the tuning for you

There are loads of guides around, and its very simple to download and upload your ecu's program, the difficult bit if knowing what values to change to make more power, you are playing with a 3d map where each change you make affects a lot of other things that have to be taken into account.
If you arent happy editing map files, you could let one of the online companies do it for you for less than half the price that a so called pro would charge, after all 95% of the pro's are simply downloading your ecu's program and emailing it to a company that modify it for them, then they email it back and the pro blows it back into your ecu and you end up paying the pro a lot of money for just copying a couple of files in and out of your ecu !
I will be modifying the maps myself and learning as i go along, i already have a basic understanding of what i am doing, and will work from there, if i get it wrong i simply put my original ecu back to keep the car running for work and then play with the modified ecu when i get time
