Wheel offset question

Post by VND »

Hi all,
Trying to source 205 1.9 GTI Speedlines or Perhaps 15in Minilites for the 406.
Sure the Speedlines with be a straight fit, but:

Whats the correct offset for 406s?

ET28?
Sure ive heard someone say similar.
But I possibly dreamed it. :?

I run ET18 or thereabouts with my 17's and the wheels sit nice in the arches. No issues with catching anywhere. Not too sure what the standard wheels offset is, but I'm swapping back to the 17's tomorrow so I shall see what it says on the back of the standard rims when I take them off.

The 406 as far as I can tell the 406 is a 15 offset. I have some 18's that I want to fit which are either ET35 or ET38, so I will need to put 20mm spacers on them to make them ET15/18 :)

Right, changed the wheels over today and the details are as follows...

Standard rims:
6x15 and ET18 with 195/65 tyres

ACE rims:
7x17 and ET35 but with 23mm spacing, so now ET12 and with 225/45 and 235/45 tyres.
