CENTRE CONSOLE BULB CHANGE

Hi Everyone,

I am new to this forum and was wondering if anyone knows how to change the bulb in the centre console where the temp, time etc is shown on my 406 exec.

Is the car a D8 or D9?

Hi there, it is a D9 on a W plate it is the 406 exec est if that helps.

Either side of the display are 2 small covers you need to ease these out with a flat bladed tool to reveal 4 torx headed screws. Undo these and gently pull the display forwards. There`s a multi connector which is removed by pushing down on the top and then swing the lever to the right and push it downwards until it clicks in the down position the connector then lifts off and you will see 3 small whitish caps which twist anticlock wise by about a quarter of a turn and then can fall out.
Dont abuse the lcd screen itself otherwise you will break the screen.
This is just the outer surrounding I lobbed out the guts just last week so cant take a photo of it
