Heater Blower

Talk about the 406's electrical system, what wires do what, how to add extra functionality, etc.

Heater Blower

Post by phillster »

Hi,
my heater fan seems very noisy like a rattling sound, has anyone else had this? is it possible to get to the fan and wd40 it? or is it a replace the fan job? could someone tell me where the motor is and how to get to it.

Cheers
Phill :)

Sounds like some crud too big to fit between the blades might have fallen in there... Do exercises to loosen up your back muscles, then remove the soundproofing from the passenger footwell (three studs which just pop out). You'll see the blower motor under there, held in by three philips screws. Unclip the connector and wires, then undo the screws and out it falls!
