Cool, thanks Steve!

So it should fit, and I'm probably capable of doing it myself... :) I'm up for it.

Martin, could you find out how much it would cost to post it up to Aberdeen, and then drop me a PM? If you have a Paypal account, I'll send you payment via Paypal.

Yep, No worries.
Might be a bit later in the week before I can post it though...busy week ahead.
BTW, You'll need a the correct size torx for it. Easiest with a ratchet.
It literally takes 5mins. Pop the plastic strut covers off. Undo the 6 nuts. Put strut brace on. Do up nuts. Pop plastic covers on. Done.
As I said, the only issue with mine was the brace was 'touching cloth' under the bonnet, but it closed fine.

Oh dear mountain :(

I think you're doing the right thing though and hopefully you'll get more money back than the car's worth - the engine should be especially valuable.

Yeah, need to get rid of most easy to take off parts fast, before one of my neighbours starts phoning the council....again!
When I blew my 405 up I had it parked up for a couple of weeks and she complained........shared parking area, suburbia
I ended up having to phone a scrappy to collect for £50.
-
So, on that note. Anyone want the alloys? rear spoiler going cheap, proper Pug...hard to come by?
Otherwise they are on ebay this weekend.
Would be a shame to send any decent bits to the scrappy.

Maybe you could put some prices up? as i've asked for a price for the spoiler already and Jord has asked for pics of wheels and spoiler twice now.

Don't take it wrong, but you aren't helping yourself with the selling of the bits if you know what I mean

£10 for the K&N OK? Cost around £40 new. Gives a little more ooomph as it's high flow.

Hi Plod,

I put a link to the pics up on Saturday.
I thought people would PM me regarding cost!! A couple have but haven't got back to me. I also can't get on this site at work as it's blocked.
-
Sorry, I missed your spolier post....must have gone right past it but let's say £15 for the spoiler? As you asked first you get priority :D
-
As for the wheels, I paid £150 for them but they have almost new P7s on the rear. The front are Dunlop M3 winter sports- but these would be better saved for winter, they are immense in the snow(I was just about to change them for summer ones-glad I didn't). . All these tyres are over £100 each
-
The alloys have a few scuffs on them- I bought them this way.
I think £150 with the tyres is fair as the tyres alone are worth more than that.
-
Pleas PM if you are definitely interested. I can then take the part off one evening and post on Saturday morning.
Thanks :D

Fair enough bud, I just thought the thread was turning into too much chitty chat and not enough of selling which is ultimately what you want,
just trying to help you really.

Whereabouts in North Yorks are you? I'm a courier and tend to get about a bit, otherwise it's postal job, but definately interested.
