I did over half a tank doing Newcastle to Stockton (and back) at the weekend.
2.0 manual ballanced between 60-80 depending on how much notice I was paying.
Well Im quite proud of the fact that I once got 1000 miles from the HDi on a lot of motorway driving. There was quite a bit of town driving involved too so I was wondering how he'd do on 95% or so motorway driving for that distance.
1000 miles. Thats so hard to believe now Im a petrolhead.
2000 D9 Coupé 2.0 SE EW10J4 Scarlet Red - 5 litres of oil gone in 500 miles!!! Time for a new coupe me thinks
707 miles in a fully loaded V6 coupe, with about 100 miles done at over a ton (not in the UK...)
Reckon I could get about 900 miles to a tank on a sufficiently long (and slow!) run. As it is though, I'll be caining it when I head up to Germany this year Love it when M3s can't catch me because of their speed limiter
<steve_earwig> I think this forum is more about keeping our cars going with minimal outlay than giving our cars more reason to go bang
A quick update for those interested in fuel consumptions, we left manchester about lunch time today and are now waiting at dover for the crossing. The run down was a steady 65-70 except roadworks which brought the average speed down to about 53 but that includes 20 minutes standing still and a couple of comfort breaks and the car is giving a good 72.5mpg! But I have stuck some additives in the tank(millers diesel treatment) and im driving like a pussy, but considering the fact the car is FULLY loaded ( pics when we get there) I am more than happy with that:) thanks to you all for the fantastic messages and I will give you all a proper report back on the old girls performance when we get there. And I might tell you how the car did too:)
