damp in electrics ?

Talk about the 406's electrical system, what wires do what, how to add extra functionality, etc.

D8 or D9?

If your aerial is at the front of the car by the windscreen, check the headlining. I've found the aerial mounts are awful at letting water in, and this can be fixed with some rubber or silicone sealant.

Also, try checking your carpets for dampness. Luckily you don't have a saloon so you shouldn't have a swimming pool where your spare wheel is

Lever it out from the middle of the edge opposite the switch. If it's an old-style D8 one, you may end up taking £7 to a dealers for a new one, because they don't like coming out in one piece... They changed the design around late 1997 to an easier to remove one, but the plugs aren't the same

The screw for the overhead console is behind the light.
