I need to replace the top engine mount on my 3.0 V6.
Looks relatively straight forward to me (two bolts to remove?) but probably the famous last words of a novice.
Can anyone confirm if this is as straight forward as it appears, ie. will I get the old one off and find I need to support the engine to re-allign for fitting the new one etc?
Thanks,
Alasdair.

Re: Top Engine Mount Replacement
It is a pretty easy job, just make sure you get a jack under the engine to prevent it from moving!

Re: Top Engine Mount Replacement
There's a number of bolts to remove, but it is a piece of cake. Use a jack+wood to take the weight of the engine, unbolt the mount arm, lift off, change the pear-shaped bit (which may need gentle persuasion with a hammer+screwdriver along the top to unscrew), then have fun trying to get the mount arm back on straight...
