Passenger side rear door lock

Hi,
The rear passenger side door lock wont operate unless i do the old fashioned way...by prodding it with my finger...yawn.
When i use the key fob all door unlock/lock exept this one, but i can hear noises.
Can any one help.





406 1997 r plate 19tdi.

So, you're saying you can hear the solenoid operating but the door isn't locking?
If so, i'd have the door card off as sounds like the mechanism has come away or broke
