Trip comp

Talk about the 406's electrical system, what wires do what, how to add extra functionality, etc.

Its a 'W' Reg so is a Mk2 406 aka D9.

Its probably got the right screen (MFD) but you may need a new wiper stalk with the bit on the end with two arrows which can be depressed.

You then need to find a local Pug dealer to go into BSI Configuration to enable the on-onboard computer.

We had to do this on my wifes W reg 406 LX HDi 90 Diesel... Stalk was about £20-30 and dealer charged £40 to do.

Stalk's a piece of cake to fit, steering wheel cowl off and two screws.
The dealer will connect up their diag machine and enable the trip function in the bsi.
