The only really bad thing is cars drive dead close the back of my car and road rage dont even get me started!!!

Mrs Rappy has said since I have owned my passat she has seen nutters driving black passats !!! Not sure if that comment was aimed at me .

Joking aside I have had complete idiots trying to drive into the back of my car and also wanting a race with Mrs Rappy and the baby in the back what complete arseholes I have got into the habbit of pulling over now as I really cant be arsed with being the victim or loosing it big time with the family on board. What joy driving is

Passat = power crazed sales reps?

I think I have seen a few passats driven with 'gusto' - not sure why and also not sure why you are now getting cars right up yer harris?? maybe people used to hold back a bit with the Peugeot in case any bits fell off it

The Volvo's still going well, eating front tyres and drinking heavily

Cleaning, (the rest of you talk amongst yourselves for a minute)..I use snow foam first, a Bilberry wheel cleaning solution and an E-Z soft brush, jet-wash what's left of the foam and the wheels, then wash with the bucket+grit guard using a natural shampoo and a 100% merino sheepskin wash mitt then jet wash again, then dry with a Micro Fibre towel.

I found that claying, polish and wax helps loads (using the Megs 3-step system).

I've also got an account with a Valeting products place and I order from the web site, get it sent to my work

Currently building up my next order actually with some american stuff for the levvers......

Please talk between yourselves I to use the Meguiars clay/paint/polish/wax.

I have never used the snow foam. whats it like? also whare can you purchase it from. I have still to clay the passat. But I have purchased most Meguiars products.

Nice attention to detail!! I cant say I put in the same effort.....

Exterior:
Cheap wash in auto carwash
Bring home, wait till dry, then wax with fibrecloth
Alloy wheel cleaner and cloth (old tea towel)
Window amd mirror cleaner and cloth (inside and outside of windows)
Tyre Spray. Leave on
Black Trim Polish

Interior
Leather Foam Cleaner (No Chemicals)
Hoover inside and remove mats and hoover
Dash and doors all over cleaned with damp cloth. Wet cloth for centre fascia. Rub down dash and fascia with dry cloth and polish everything with matt dashboard wipes (except centre fascia and ashtray area)
Replenish Magic Tree New Car Scent Car Freshner

All products are AutoGlym except the dashboard wipes

Rappy - I got the snow foam from Elite Car Care. The foam is cheap but the lance attachment for the Karcher is expensive (£50.00 notes ) it's mixed at 5% with water in a 1ltr bottle attached to the lance. It's good stuff and drags all the dust off the car before you wash it - in fact in the summer you can use the foam as a kinda non-contact cleaner.

I've still got half of the 5ltr foam left after 18 months so I'm pleased I bought it - and it's had a *lot* of use

My car could do with a good old polish, trouble is all the stuff here is in German Eventually I figured out the German for polish is something like reningenungangngngng, so I go along to the shop and it all says that and it's hideously expensive. So I take pot luck. And it's crap Then I see all these lovely products you guys use, so I think I know, I'll buy it on line! Hmm, Claybar, yes, errrr, there's 4,000 different varieties, I don't know where to start Ah well, out with the reninganorfendorfengrubehausendoohdahren again

Just curious on my passat it states change brake fluid every 2 yrs this seems a little excessive to me. I think on my pug i changed it every 4 to 5yrs.

Two years is correct....welcome back I had similar aggro with other drivers when I owned a BMW, always trying to get me to race...not me thank you.
Saw a blue Passat today, woman driver, on the phone having a great laugh with someone, steering one handed round a roundabout with 2 kids in baby chairs in the back....not a reflection on Passat drivers in particular, just a stupid woman with no care for her kids.
