Post by paulrudrum »

Not done them on the 406 yet mate, but on all other cars the centre bushes (where fitted) are split down one side (if new ones) and just slip in under the brackets after wrapping round the bar, the ends of the ARB usually have steel drop links which bolt on at each end to connect it to the suspension. The bar would fall off if unbolted completely, but the car wont fall apart. well saying that, its a pug.......lol

Just done mine on saturday, quite easy job the bolt into the chassis was the bogey though plenty penetrating oil and work it back and forth to destroy the rust and eventually the bolt and nut come off.

Oh christ, has it snapped off flush or is there anything to get moles on?
You'll have to soak it in WD40 now that the tension is released and then use a reverse drill bit or an EZOUT, either that or get a drift on the side of the bolt and hopefully it will start to move.
