Re: Engine Code
I'm afraid I've left my Haynes at home, I just had a quick squint under the bonnet but there's so much codswallop in front of the engine I can't see anything. As far as I know, the RHY and RHZ are so similar it's not worth bothering. I'm looking in Pug's own parts catalogued and having trouble seeing any differences in part numbers - same block, head, cam... There seems to be some difference between Siemen's and Bosch but I'll be blowed if I can see what it is.
What sort of concerns do you have?

Re: Engine Code
My biggest problem is my car needs a new clutch and apparently they are different depending on which engine is fitted, and as i will be ordering from the uk (as clutch kits there are less than half the price in Spain), it is important that i get the correct one first time so i dont have to mess about trying to return the kit and order a new one.
Any help anyone can give would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks Steve in Spain

Re: Engine Code
Aha! I think you should be asking which flywheel you have
Or, seeing as how the different flywheels should relate to different gearboxes, which gearbox you have...
DW10TD (RHY) BE4R
DW10ATED (RHZ) ML5
I think that's the best way of doing it. There's always the possibility someone's managed to cram a solid flywheel for a RHY into an ML5 but if that much messing around's been done then all bets are off and the only real way of knowing is to take it to bits to find out (and be without a car for a couple of weeks
