Re: 406 Fire :-(, seeking answers
Hi old boss had a fire in his W reg 406, it caught fire in Heathrow airport car park, the starter motor cables shorted in the fire and with the car being in gear, it drove itself into a Subaru and set that alight too.
I remember on a Peugeot newsgroup at the time that a fire inspector was asking for any stories of burnt out Peugeots.
It made watchdog too, but for the 307.

I know the incident itself is not funny, but I can't help imagining the fire fighters putting the car out while running along side it!neildavies wrote:Hi old boss had a fire in his W reg 406, it caught fire in Heathrow airport car park, the starter motor cables shorted in the fire and with the car being in gear, it drove itself into a Subaru and set that alight too.

For it to catch fire and drive off is kinda funny really, especially as he must have left it in gear because the handbrake is so crap
