hi plod , can i ask how your blind clips onto the head lining of the car ?

is there clips that you can screw in to hold blind up or are they built into the headlining ?

If memory serves, there are two plastic "receivers" in the head lining where the blind hooks into.

thanks guys appreciate the replys, big thanks

wonder if i can buy them clips from peugeot

maybe i can punch 2 small holes in the headlining and just hook them into them.

i supose 2 small holes in the lining wont be noticable up there, but i would prefere to do it properly.

the shelf is now in , perfect fit

Thanks

Finally got the leather in today.
Had a right laugh though!

When I first put in the passenger seat, many moons ago - at least that's how it felt :D I didn't connect the seat pre tensioner as the under seat connectors were different, and paid Omega to send me some - anyway, my mate said he didn't recommend changing the plugs when they came, and checked the connector on the pre tensioner and they were the same, so took the wire off the velour seat and fitted it to the leather. Thought would be ok, but the airbag light was still flashing. Tried taking plugs apart cleaning with contact cleaner but to no avail.

Last night, had the connections for the electric conversion to the passenger seat extended by 7 feet, so came out of seat loom, over to the drivers sill, over, and along front and down over console, down to and over sill and back down back of seat. Reason is the seat loom wiring is inadequate in length, and wanted a good finish to conversion.

So today, came to finally fitting drivers seat - fitted pre tensioner off the velour and got it fitted in. Whilst trying to fit centre console, I thought passenger tensioner looked short, and first thought was that it had fired although heard nothing. Had the other tensioner in the boot, so had to take seat back out and swap over. Did that, and got seat back in, and fitted all the other stuff back in.
Was a bit concerned, so gingerly put the keys in ignition and turned whilst trying to stay as far away as poss. Happily nothing happened, and airbag light went out!!

Captain paranoia started talking in my ear, so thought airbag light must of blown, so turned off, but no light :|
Thought i'd have to take clocks out but must of done it too quick, as tried again when I got home and airbag light came on on ignition and went out. Tried it a few other times, and light comes on for test, and then goes out.

So happy to have sorted out airbag light problem, even if it meant the tensioner going off, but leads me to think that the fault all along it was the tensioner.
Can't remember whether that was the velour one or the leather, although as it only happened after fitting the passenger seat, it seems logical to conclude that maybe the seats I bought "may" have come out of a write off, and it didn't fire correctly at the time, and thus is the leather one.

Only problem is the drivers seat base won't go down - you can press up and hear it working all be it at maximum operation, but nothing on at all on the down.
Guess it means having the seat out again, but didn't feel like it as only just got it in after 2 months of waiting for bits.

At least with airbag fault cured, I can fit the leather steering wheel, as your forever chasing your tail if you don't fix a fault like that before moving on.
It was like last year when had ABS problem, and needed to change a rear bearing, but couldn't do it till sorted fault out first in case you end up with another problem, and you'll spend ages not knowing whether you have fixed the original problem.

Need to get some leather stuff to try and cover scuffs - that liquid leather looks good but comes at a price.

Just bought some of that Liquid Leather off ebay - went straight to their site, but was cheaper on ebay, so went that way, and bought some alloy wheel repair stuff at the same time - my rears are fine, but had a couple of indescretions on the front

Just got to look at the scuff stuff to try and do the steering wheel - might go with the liquid leather one direct as can't seem to find it any cheaper elsewhere

Couldn't find anywhere that does the scuffmaster any cheaper than Liquid Leather direct - weird that! Considering the cleaner and conditioner you could?

Anyway, bought some this morning, so looking forward to that coming, as reviews seem excellent :)

Not sure about the seat belts.

With the front ones, when not in use are against the similarly covered b pillar covers, and whilst in use, can't see why it's a problem.
Whereas the rear ones, are against the seats themselves when not in use.

So.....do I not worry about it........replace the rear ones with black ones.......replace all of them, and then the front ones may look out of place against the grey b pillars - which may mean I have to change loads of other panels to black.

I've covered my A, B and C pillars in black leatherette vinyl. Need to redo the B pillars, but the A and C pillars look good. Did any model 406 come with black upper interior trim as standard, and did any come as standard with a black headlining?
