3000 miles, or The Great Escape??

Post by DiscoPol »

Well guys that daft volcano almost stopped my co-driver getting through, but at the last minute decided to calm its self down and let flights begin again so I have my co-driver here :cheesy: and a much relieved wife and family 8) as I wont be tackling the run alone as was previously thought.

So its bags packed, tank filled, tyres topped up, oil checked, washer bottle filled and Haribo and Red Bull purchased and away we go. Seems rather fitting Im setting off home on St Georges Day :)

Expected back in Blighty by 9.30 pm ish Saturday night then just a drag up country to Manchester and then I can sleep.
A trip to GSF monday for another service kit as i think the old girl will deserve it by then, turn around and back again on the ferry for the return leg, a proper road trip this one!

So wish us luck and i will post up on the old girls performance when i get back ( not doing the wife joke this time :( )

Best of luck with the trip - I'd gladly swap you. 8) This weekend I'll be ripping stud-partition walls out from 2 bedrooms, opening up a loft access & knocking through a doorway, hopefully without knackering my back again

Are you going just to pick up more stuff? That is biblical miles.

Wouldnt it be cool if you did illustrations on the european map of the highlights of the route. For example 'A' would be the starting point and have B,C,D,E........ all the way along the route. Each letter could be accompanied by a photo and a little anecdote underneath the map.

You would be really popular then (forum peer pressure)
