I got them off ebay, and they are "usually" always on there, but just looked and none on at the minute - think they were £26.99 for the set of 5 I had, but do sets of 4 as well

hi plod, does your rings catch on the circle bit of the small needles, my temp needle and fuel needle catches on the bottom of the ring so i cant use the small ones, there is meant to be a 2mm gap between them but mine has no gap whatsoever

They do appear a bit snug, but have had no problems with mine at all.
Maybe fire an email to the seller, and ask for advice and see what they say

he told me to cut my clocks with a knife, so the ring sits lower, anyway i reported that to ebay and the seller has refunded half my 25 quid as i cant use the small rings, only the big ones are in the clocks now,

not a bad result really,

Thanks

Its amazing the little things we want on our 406's and when we get them, its not that great. I really wanted chrome dial surrounds on my HDi but never got round to actually getting them in the end. The coupe has chrome dial surrounds on the coupe and I barely notice them. Not to mention all the other million bells and whistles I have on the thing.

Oh, I notice them :) I've learned to appreciate the fine details like the door sil guards, the chrome dial surrounds, the leather, etc. I always make the effort to look at and appreciate the finer things from time to time.

But then again, I still grin when walking to the car. Still can't believe... its mine!

I know the feeling. I caught myself smiling a few times. If anyone saw me i'd look ridiculous. I like walking over to the car and realising how low the flipping thing is. At least once or twice a week I look in the rear view after passing a group of lads and see them staring or pointing. Never had a car that made people do that before. Other than my 1992 3dr 1.4 escort mkV with an RS kit. But I think they were laughing

I've looked at mine today, and with the smaller dials, all I can see is the bottom of the needle "might" rub against the ring.
I'm sure when I fitted mine, I made sure the bottom edge was firmly located and held in place whilst bending the back edge of the ring all the way round.
That way, I knew they would be sitting straight, and as i've said, I have no problems

Been busy with the liquid leather and refurb'd the leather steering wheel I bought off ebay for £20

Was crapping myself a bit taking the airbag out - pre tensioners for the seats the other week didn't bother me too much, but when you're hunched over the wheel trying to get the screws out for the airbag literally resting on it, you tend to think twice

Light isn't the best so will refrain from photo tonight.
Was kind of hoping my mate might of re-soldered the aircon control unit back up, so could take a nice picture of the silver painted parts as well, but guess i'm going to have to post a work in progress one saturday, as needs a bloody good clean.

Also got the Ashwood fag tray, and the ashwood dash trims in place, but need to fit the door ones - thanks bluey

If anyone knows the part number for the door trim clips i'd appreciate it as heard it's best to go buy new ones before attempting the job
