Where is this oil coming from? i think i need to replace my rocker gasket anyway as it is leaking badly!!! would this be the cause?
Wish I knew how to remove it mate, the main stealer did mine, sorry!

I wouldn't have thought the leaking rocker cover would've led to oil inside the breather pipes, but I can't for the life of me think where it's coming from. Is it possible that the stuff in the metal flexi from the EGR was actually carbon deposits?

Im pretty sure it was oil mate, was of oil consistancy anyway? dont suppose you know how to do a rocker gasket change?

Im thinking i mite have to take apart the EGR to get it on n off, there seems to be a large arm that comes up from the gearbox area to just behind the EGR, have a look on urs n see what u think.

Yeah I see the arm you're on about. It seems to be a casting that's supporting the inlet manifold and has the hoses clipped to it. I can't see clearly without taking the air filter box out but it looks like there's only one nut at the bottom of it and two at the top. I'd be tempted to take the filter box out and undo those three nuts to remove that casting (or at least be able to move it out of the way) in order to get the EGR out. The top stud that screws into the side of the manifold might still obstruct you, but the stud seems to have a torx style head and a locking nut so I'm guessing it'll screw out of the manifold and then you're totally clear.

Hope I'm not talking bolox  (maybe someone can sanity check my ramblings? ) and if you do it please take some photos!!

Well im one step ahead of you there! haha, ive already taken all of the airbox out, i can clearly see the gearbox now.

So your saying that arm can be unbolted from the bottom and that one at the top that goes into the inlet? thats a bonus if it can coz its only that top bolt thats in the way......I THINK!!

Will have another look 2moz, just tackling the ball joint issue too at the mo, got fed up with one so moved onto the other! haha.
