Ive just advertised my 406 in the for sale section.
A recent job change means im having a company car so sadly its for sale. Ive tried to talk Mrs Lofty into having it but she's adamant its TOO big...
On a seperate note, im still going to be on here as TBH its a cracking forum with bloody nice people on it.
Matt

What is it with the fairer gender that they think 406s are too big?
My prettier half's first car was a 206 that she says she loved, but she wont drive the 406.
She loves the new Fiesta, yet when I parked next to one I showed her that it's almost as big as a 406, if not wider!

Cars are getting huge now because of the NCAP ratings, the new Mondeo is flipping massive
Maybe she could be encouraged to have the 6 - you could work on the safety thing, maybe good for carrying babies...err, no wait
Hope you stick around chappy, nice to have you.

True enough, the new Mundano is bigger than the old mk3 Granada / Scorpio. The saloon model looks very slab-sided though!
Don't mention child seats. My prettier half wanted to know what the disable airbag key thing in the centre console was for
Haven't been on the forum for long, but don't be going Lofty!
Edit:
Just saw your for sale ad. Shame.
For a Nissan Qashqow
one of those cars I hate but everyone else seems to inexplicably love.

Cheers guys, i'll be sad to see her go (the 406 that is LOL).
Mrs lofty has had a Focus for the last 6 years and im quite happy for her to keep bumping that into kerbs/posts/garage doors etc etc.
Still a bloody good looking car the 406 though, i dont think i'll find another family saloon that ticks quite so many boxes and looks as pretty as it either.
Oh well, knowing my track record with 406's, i'll end up with another one day!

Sorry to hear you're losing the 406 Matt, delighted to hear that you'll be sticking around!
I tried to talk my wife into having the estate but we settled on the saloon
