Volvo 'check engine' light on this morning

Post by Welly »

Well buggery doo, there I was happily jumping into the car this morning only to be greeted by the 'check engine' light upon firing the engine :( I haven't done anything, I haven't said anything, I even cleaned it up real good at the weekend :(

The car drives the same and sounds the same :?

I did notice it felt a bit lack-lustre on Saturday but put this down to the air con load but thinking back at the last time this happened it was the same - a bit dodgy one day then the light on the next. It was something to do with the 'Long Term Fuel Trim' last time which they reset and sent me on my way so here's hoping it's something simple :? .........

It's down at the dealers tomorrow, I drive there and then they give me a lift to work :?

My Dad's V50 since we've had it in 2008 has had the drivers side front window fall into the door twice, the front passengers side window fell into the door once, the passengers side rear window has fallen into the door 3 times, the radio goes off as and when it feels like and Volvo can't find the fault, it's on it's 3rd turbo, Volvo replaced the break pads at 25k and within 200miles the new pads had disintegrated and fallen apart, the car drops boost as and when it feels like, it's had a new inter cooler + pipes, new MAF, new injectors, new cat and the front splitter keeps falling off :)

No you've got it wrong Teamy,

we start with mild mocking,

then we move to gentle p1sstaking,

then to outright mockery,

and finally when we think he is almost a broken man on the brink of total desperation and regret for moving to the dark side, then we give him encouragement :P ,

or is this just me :?

Good old Volvo :)
Flipping 'eck

I'm not surprised though in a way cos new cars are getting shocking in this way. Mines a 2005 and maybe 'better' ? :?

I have had the non-conforming radio though twice which just fixes itself :?

To be fair otherwise the car never misses a beat :|

Oh and I'm not letting your mockery get to me no I'm not :)

We know mate, your much too thick skinned for that, you must be,
the only other person you can speak to about Vulvas on here is Bailes and its his DAD that owns the Vulva :P , I mean that speaks volumes (unlike your radios)
but as we all know, you are the mature voice of reason on this forum and we all look up to you for that,
and we thank our lucky stars on a daily basis that we have you to help steer us in the right direction,
Thanks Welly :P :P :P

Oh it looks like Puggy has taken the baton and is going in for stage 3 with renewed gusto and panache only a man of his standing could muster.

does your logo look like this now Welly?

Ive heard Pfizer or whatever they are called are in talks with a certain car manufacturer to put a pack in every glove box, you cant help but admire that kind of marketing, millions spent on research that I could have saved em, if only they had asked.
I know, I shouldn't be left alone with photoshop, I apologize
