whirring noise

Another daft question from me :oops: .Could someone tell me what the whirring noise is that sounds like a motor slowing down just after I switch my engine off thanks in advance ....Rob

Radiator cooling fan is rubbing off something or it is loose
2000 D9 Coupé 2.0 SE EW10J4 Scarlet Red - 5 litres of oil gone in 500 miles!!! Time for a new coupe me thinks

had a look to see if it was a fan problem no joy everything seems to be in order anyone got any more ideas thanks ....Rob

Could be a noisy heater fan, get someone to turn the key with your head in the passenger footwell

Could it be the aircon pump?

If you don't get anywhere with it you could always run it over my way and I would have a look at it with you.

Best thing to do is listen under the bonnet whilst someone turns the engine off.

Thanks Jasper will get someone to sit in drivers seat to see if Ican suss it cant use the Mrs as she cant drive and would probably run me over :) if I show her how to start the car :roll:
