What the hell?

tried to change my wheel and got to the wheel nut and the 2 wheel nut keys dont go on the locking nut? last time my wheels were off was about a year ago at a tyre place, but in the wheel nut box theres 2 keys but they dont go over the nut. whats going on? if they forgot to put the key back why is there 2 in the box

Sounds like a cock-up at the tyre shop. If you can't find the key hammer a slightly undersized socket onto the bolt (the two back wheels were the same on mine & no key :frown: )

Hmmm, what type of locking nuts have you got? If it's the standard ones I'd check the "pins" aren't deformed, this can happen if the tyre monkeys used a windy gun or a lack of care (or a mixure of both) on them... :roll:

the keys ive got look rounded with a little ridge in, well i need to go to tyre place anyway and get a new tyre, but if they use a tool to get the locking nut off im gonna be a stud short on each wheel when the new tyre is on, and dunno where u get new nuts from. so dunno what to do

yh its just the standard 15" wheels

na doesnt look like those, its like a perfectly round key, (if its even a key lol) theres 2 in the box so i just assumed theyre my keys

is £25 in halfords for new locking wheel nuts. shame i cant just buy 4 normal nuts, noones gonna steal my standard wheels

Yes! That is a 406 key, you may find that it seems not to fit, but if you look closely it probably does.Try turning the key very slowly pushing it onto the nut at the same time.
I did a Nissan today with the same type of key, sometimes they seem not to fit, but careful attention makes them fit....I had these on my 406 Rapier.
