Is the factory fitted sat nav any good

Talk about the 406's electrical system, what wires do what, how to add extra functionality, etc.

Is the factory fitted sat nav any good

Post by FarmerPug »

When i bought my 406 executive i thought it would have the sat nav in it but it did not. I think its easy enough to add it in by buying parts off ebay, but is this worth it, is the original sat nav system any good when compared with a tom tom sat nav, does anyone have screenshots of the factory fitted sat nav going to show what it can do

No mate it's shyte. I mean it'll get you out of trouble but really it's naff compared to the off the shelf ones you get for £100 these days. I've got it and I always use tom tom on my phone   The only nice feature is that the screen tells you where you are when the radio's off

I haven't used my PDA sat nav sine I bought this car 4 years ago, and alwasy use the built in sat nav.

But at the same time, if your thinking of spending money, don't bother, get an after market one, and use if in your next car, and the one after that, etc.
