power seems missing from ciggie lighter , tested with meter , no sign .
is there a knack/method for removing socket????#
fuse appears ok.
Replacement !

Unclip and lift up/remove the gear stick gaiter. Insert yer figgins and pop the lighter up from underneath. Confucius say man who disconnects battery before removing fag lighter runs less risk of visiting emergency room.

No no no no no!!!!

Just stick yer fingers in the socket, turn the metal barrel about 1/8 turn anticlockwise and pull up (the connector fits through the orange outer cover). Disconnect the connector then the outer orange bit can pull up too.

No need to get behind :)

I second MJB,

mine was goosed so just unceremoniously (wow thats a big word for me) twisted and pulled and it popped out a treat, reverse for sticking in the one u nick from the scrappies when you tell em your checking out interior trim items :oops:

ive just been out and removed the one out of my d8 spares car and just twisted and pulled and out it poped and its working so if yow want il send it you for £3 including post and that includes the orange bit and lighter element.
