Ive noticed that on my 406 HDI 90, that when accelerating i can hear like a ticking or rattling noise...but it doesn't do it whilst iddleing?.
It sounds like the pinking noise you get from a petrol car when the timeing is slightly out, any ideas guy's? it's not affecting performance just really doing my head in now

If ever there was a genuine case of "They all do that Sir", this is that instance.
All part of the HDI paranoia. LOL

Its an easy fix if you have deep pockets for a new injector rail. My first HDi had this issue and it got ridiculously annoying after a while.

I've got a complete head with rail and injectors off the old motor so might try bunging on the rail and injectors see how that works
