The faux-Walnut is pretty garish, right enough. Much classier is the faux-Ashwood (not very common).

If your car is blue, you could try and find a wrecked 406 D9 SRi and steal the blue trim inserts from that. Or if you prefer a silvery colour, try and find a wrecked SE and get the trim inserts from one of those.

Some people on here have used a carbon fibre-effect vinyl wrap (not keen on this myself), while others have sanded their faux-Walnut, then primed, sprayed, and laquered it. Most who do this paint theirs silver, but I think that coding these inserts with the colour of the bodywork of your car is an acceptable alternative to this.

Photos please, once you're done :)

Those that showed up at Gaydon can testify to the fact that I'm crap at the paint option...

Black ashwood will probably be staying on mine.

When you bear in mind god took 6 days to create the universe I think what you have done in a week is amazing!
What did you use to treat the leather?
Honestly i am in awe of people that can do stuff to cars like this...
All Torque and no trousers.
