If I park on a slope the fuel gauge will go up as usual. But it will not come back down again until I fill the car to the brim?

Anyone got any ideas?

Mine behaves sensibly most of the time, just occasionaly lies, claiming there's about 1/4 tank less than the truth. I always brim it and always get > 600 miles / tank, so yours should do lots more, Sam, (unless you really are trying hard).Bailes1992 wrote:Well I always brim my tank anyway, so aslong as I make sure I don't do more than ~500 miles without filling up I should be alright.
Lift pumps are onlye ~£150 new, maybe I'l replace it when I get my tax rebate in April.
Mine says 670miles on a full tank, so if I fill it up every 500 I know I'm safeDoggy wrote:Mine behaves sensibly most of the time, just occasionaly lies, claiming there's about 1/4 tank less than the truth. I have no intention of disturbing it unless the lift pump gets troublesome.
That and the tank is quite wide & flat, so hills etc have a bigger than average effect.leestudd30 wrote:The gauge on mine is like this! I haven't put than a half tank of fuel in since I bought it, I assumed that because it has a large tank the fuel is all over the place inside when driving up and down hills and round corners?
