Map sensor vacuum pipe

Post by Matcoupe80 »

Just a quick question, is the vacuum pipe that connects the map sensor to the intercooler the same diameter at each end? The reason I ask is that it feels like a larger diameter on the intercooler side, it maybe due to oil contamination swelling the rubber hose!! Just thought I would check before I disturb it.

It certainly has different diameters on the 2.2 HDi, so probably on the 2.0 110 HDi too...

Same sensor on both engines IIRC
2002 HDi 2.2 Exec Estate, (2008-12) (wonderful)
2003 HDi 2.2 6-speed Exec Estate (2012-19) (also a gem)

2008 BMW E91 330i touring (great fun - murdered by a reversing SUV)
2007 BMW E91 325i touring (slower smoother quieter)
