Anyway, I changed to my winter tyres today and while I was there I thought I'd see why the rear pads were squealing. Couldn't see owt, all well copperslipped and sexy but I thought I'd finally fit the squeal shims I got after everyone else on here seemed to have them. Ok, plenty of clearance 'cos the car's done 30,000 km since I changed the disks and put new pads in. Just one question - which way round do they go?

One thing about these snow tyres - it suddenly sounds like I have 4 wheel bearings on their way out
