Saturday evening arrived and I could hear air-horns a'blowin and see flags a'wavin in my area.....people gathered for BBQ's, Televisions were removed to the Gardens, Volumes were turned up, 'Ooo's and Arrgh's were shouted....
Her indoors invited me (instead of me watching what I want in 'my' lounge) to watch the match in the interest of my son (cos that's what Dad's are supposed to do

Now I have to say that I could tell England seemed to have the ball more than USA so maybe they were the better team but no matter what was going on on the pitch there was a far far worse a problem for me........THE NOISE !!!!!!!

Thanks to thousands of Vuvuzela trumpet things I began to feel weiry, confused and wanted to escape pronto. I kept asking "what the hell is that noise"?? "what possible use is it"? "how can they play with that racket going on"?
On the News last night they interviewed some South African world cup representative in a kinda "would you kindly keep the noise down" style

Lastly, why can't they just save all the expense and trouble and just present Brazil with a certificate to say they are the best team and leave it at that?
