The Alfa was fun for a while. The twinspark engine was silky smooth, loved to rev, and made a lovely throaty noise!
Got me through my quarter life crisis as a bachelor :cheesy:

Problem was suspension bushes kept disintegrating. Speedbumps and potholes ruined it. It ended up parked over the cold winter waiting on parts arriving from Italy. And the wipers never worked properly (fuxebox had strange burn marks all over it  ). And the exhaust grew a huge hole near the cat. 20mpg when I was living a bit further from work was suboptimal too.

A 32" CRT TV wouldn't fit in the Alfa.
A 32" LCD TV wouldn't fit either though!

My newly found prettier half coaxed me into selling and getting something more sensible. Ended up with the 406. (I reckon the 406 is a better handling car though! )

You can fit a 32" widescreen CRT TV onto the back seat of a Vauxhall Cavalier hatchback, it won't fit in the boot.
406 estate, 2.1TD, I fixed her, then part exchanged her for a Mercedes E300TD Avantgarde Estate.
Hmmmm, straight 6 goodness!

We fit an old Sony Trinitron 32" CRT into my D8 on the back seat. I remeber it being a very heavy bugger... :frown:

Yes I understand your problem, I always found the trouble with the 406 saloon, trying to bend large items around the corner of the rear doors or struggling with the boot aperture angle...
I now love being able to fit 7 people in my 406 7 seater estate, or anything upto a single bed when I fold the seats down.

I had 23 full bin bags of grass upto the roof in the back a few weeks ago from the overgrown lawns Lol :D
