People are bound to find ways around these stupid systems sooner or later, lets face it when you start buying a 'Fapped' 406 for sub £1,000.00 you aint gonna be happy with a £600.00 bill for the eggsauce wotnot that has no benefit to the car itself

There are now at least two outfits able to reprogramme the engine ECU to ignore the FAP system, (but for this to be sustainable you have to remove the FAP element before it blocks, as it will in a few hundred miles if it's not regenerated).
Even better, one gentleman has posted the ECU maps with & without the FAP, so you can DIY it, for the price of an ECU flash programming lead. (E-bayed mine last night).![]()
