Since i have disconnected the battery on my 96 1.9dt glx the temperature display is in farenheit im sure that it was in degrees c before does anyone know how to alter it back!

I'm sure that is set by a jumper on the side of the display! There's a post buried somewhere on this, I'll have a dig.
Edit: In fact one of the pins on the back needs earthing to display fahrenheit. If yours has done this after a battery disconnect it is probably shot.

a cheap solution . do what i did , mine is located in front of the speedo clocks
even the outside sensor fits through the access gromit under the carpet on the drivers side floor/bulkhead ...

i think the wallnut thats there is enough but the added stuff i agree its yuck, the best thing to do to that part of the dash is paint it silver.

i like the walnut effect, on that pic it looks nice ,
i think it will be vinyl stuck on ive seen them on ebay
but i dont like it enuff to buy it and fiddle about cutting it and sticking it on
think i'll stick to the standard black effect

ive seen them wallnut stickers they really do look very stickerish. Spray paint is the best choice if you find the standard black a bit too discreet, but ideally it should be brushed aluminum.
