1. Next year there will be a complete overhual of the MOT system. Apparently they will fail any aftermarket HID's on the spot. (MOT man gave me a little booklet that he was sent in the post as we were talking about headlights).
2. Because you don't have a clear lense it will make the headlights scatter the beam.
3. A good set of uprated headlight bulbs are just as good.
I had Phillips Xenon Vision or Blue Vision or something
In my D8 and the headlights were better than the Stock Xenons in my Dad's Volvo V50 T5 and his Mondeo ST220!
