'Ullo you orrible lot ;-P

Post by supafrisk »

Still around (just) lol
Car tally..
1 passat with 480,130 miles on the clock (yup, no insurance payout yet, the feckers only referred me to the specialist a month ago.. Only been 13 months ago now lol)
1 306 with a knackered matrix (and it can stay that way god dammit!! I googled and recoiled lol)
1 407 under 100K, blown engine (nice, never touch the 1.6 HDi, it's a bag of shyte)
And there you have it really :supafrisk:

Good day to you supafrisk!

I've heard bad things about the 407, although fleets would tend to use the 1.6 HDi and so are running into huge problems.

306 must be similar to the Xantia - the car was built around the heater matrix. Absolute melt.

Not normally a fan of Passats, but that sounds like a good one you have there. Fair play! 8)

Hi Soops, good to hear from you again. 8)

Hope you get the insurance sorted soon.

The old 406 is a tough act to follow - I'm still hoping to have one more before it's too late, but understand that's not an option for you. After that who knows? Maybe one of those 'Jaguar' Mondeo estates.
2002 HDi 2.2 Exec Estate, (2008-12) (wonderful)
2003 HDi 2.2 6-speed Exec Estate (2012-19) (also a gem)
2009 Citroen C5 2.0 HDi VTR+ Estate (godawful heap)
2008 BMW E91 330i touring (great fun - murdered by a reversing SUV)
2007 BMW E91 325i touring (slower smoother quieter)

This is the bit where I admit to getting quite chumfy in the old banger
Still, considering since last July it has had...
Several services
PAS pipe repaired
2 ball joints
5 front arms
7 tyres, one alloy and 4 wheel bolts (Don't ask :( )
Headlamps rewired (connectors welded to bulbs)
New seats, carpet and door cards (old ones had nutrishake, snot and "gentleman's relish" all over them from the previous occupant)
New N/S/R window motor and locking mechanism
All door adjusters adjusted (doors stuck frequently)
2 front springs
2 front bearings
2 front anti roll bar bushes (twice)
Both auxiliary belts
Two wishbones
Two of those horseshoe shaped links
2 track rod ends
1 turbo
1 injector harness
2 ABS sensors, one front, one rear
New ABS wiring loom (BY mechanic chopped them off when the ABS failed)
Oil sensor
Numberplate light holder and new feed (old one was soldered directly to the bulb by BY mechanic)
Discs and pads all round (and new wires made to join pad sensors up to ABS loom)
Front calipers stripped, cleaned and rebuilt
New N/S/R caliper
New MAF sensor
HUGE crack in sump chemi welded (fecking thing still leaks slightly)
Swimming pool in boot emptied, repaired and carpeted over

There's other stuff I'm sure of it but can't remember the lot.. At least now it doesn't beep half a dozen times and there's no manky tape over the ominous ABS and brake warning lights lol, I gave the owner the tape as a present :supafrisk:

Supafrisk is a woman.

Women are allowed to drive.

Yes, even big cars like 406s and Passats.
