The 407 has 5-stud wheels, the 406 has 4-stud.

You got a link with photos of the estate you're interested in?

Could be off a 308 - they still have 4-stud hubs, and will have a very similar offset to the 406.

Probably 308 wheels as I think they have a smaller offset than 307s, but they're still 4 stud. What mileage is your Pug Lozz? Under 150k & you may be looking at £750, but much over & it may be £5-600 territory. May even fetch better money if given a good old polish, some good pics & a well written Auto Trader ad.

I'm not trying to be insulting with that, I just try to be realistic with these things. Early LX (&L) saloons don't fetch much money as they have a poor spec compared with the rest of the range. That & the more expensive tax bracket than a Y plate or later.
Do a search on Autotrader at the mo for private 1999 LX & you'll find one for £750, & he'd probably drop to £700. Broaden that search to any LX & you could get an X plate with 95k for not much more & anything under 100k (even 99k) always sells easier because it's under that magic mark.
All this added to the fact that you guys are up North where everything is cheaper anyway means that you really can't expect to get too much money back. I find that it's better to go into these things with your eyes wide open & low expectations - that way, you're less likely to be disappointed. Hence my advice to Dave (Plod) about trying to recoup some of his money by putting the car back to as standard as possible.
Even with all that I've done to my estate & the very low mileage, I reckon I'd be looking at £1500 to sell it now - & I'm in the expensive South.

Honestly wouldn't have a clue about yours as I know Southern Ireland is a lot more expensive than over here, but I'm not sure about the North. Over here you'd struggle to get that as it's a saloon & you've now bust the magic 100k barrier (albeit not by much if I'm remembering right). As a benchmark for you, a little while ago there was a 53 plate (late 2003, early 2004) 2.2 HDi SE with FSH & 84k in beautiful condition that went for less than £2500.
