Home CCTV

Hiya dudes, I'm seriously thinking about fitting CCTV at home but I know nowt about it so was wondering if anyone could offer any advice?
It's one of those areas where obviously I don't want to spend stupid amounts but there's equally no point in buying something cheap if it'll be no good.
From my initial browsing of the interweb I'm pretty impressed with what these things claim to be capable of these days, motion detection, remote monitoring etc, sounds very impressive....
Would something like this be any good?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Hi if you want to have the right
home cctv camera for you then you must have this.
QUESTIONS TO ASK YOURSELF BEFORE BUYING A CCTV SECURITY SYSTEM
1. WHAT DO YOU WANT IT TO DO?
2. WHAT WOULD BE THE MAIN PURPOSE OF HAVING A CCTV SYSTEM?
3. WHAT AREAS DO YOU WANT THE CAMERAS TO COVER?
4. WHAT TYPES OF CAMERAS WILL YOU NEED?
5. WILL YOU USE AN ANALOGUE OR A DIGITAL RECORDING SYSTEM?
6. HOW LONG WILL YOU NEED TO KEEP THE RECORDED VIDEO BEFORE IT GETS DELETED?
7. HOW USER FRIENDLY WILL THE SYSTEM NEED TO BE?
8. WILL YOU NEED TO ACCESS THE CCTV SYSTEM REMOTELY?
I hope this might help you. Just a guide for you. Thanks
