Would you look at this.......

Post by niz406 »

Who's posting back here ! :)

That's right meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee :supafrisk:

For the last 7 months I've been looking for an executive turbo to play with...... this time, as a project not a daily driver. There's a gap in my heart where the 406 used to be, and I feel that I need another one to complete all the things I never got to complete as a student.

So who know's if one comes along with the right mileage for the right money..... I might be starting a new thread :)

Thanks for reading.

Neil

Niz! LTNS! :)

Just grab a broken non-v6 (bigger driveshafts I believe) d8 coop and shove an engine+box in it. More room under the bonnet and looks/handles a lot better...

Eww why? They're such an expensive faff and have a lot less feel and sharpness than the non-Brembos...

That's a funny wiggle at ~4250 RPM (curiously, not so much on the green (1 bar) curve). Is it noticeable?
superchips report a similar wiggle at ~2000 RPM on the HDi 110 torque curve and reckon that fixing it made a big difference.

Current: 407 2.2 HDi 170 & C6 2.7 HDi.
Former: 406 1.9 TD; 406 HDi 90; 407 2.2 160; 307cc 180; 508 HDi 140.
